About the Project

Migraine Access is a national initiative aimed at improving access to migraine care for women of color, who often face significant delays in diagnosis and treatment due to complex insurance systems. In partnership with the American Migraine Foundation (AMF), this project combines in-depth research, patient storytelling, and education to spotlight these systemic barriers.

At the heart of the initiative is a powerful documentary-style film that captures the lived experiences of patients and offers actionable solutions for providers and advocates. This film, along with educational resources and a "Prescription to Learn" QR tool, is designed to support shared decision-making between physicians and patients.

Through digital outreach, medical conference presentations, and provider engagement, Migraine Access aims to raise awareness, drive policy conversations, and ensure that equitable, timely migraine care becomes the standard—not the exception.

This project is led by Medical Impact Ventures in collaboration with American Migraine Foundation and supported by a grant from Global Medical Grants at Pfizer, Inc.
